There could be a Cinderella story in this year’s New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship (NJAC) Tournament as the Profs are currently on a six-game winning streak and just upset the number three seed Ramapo College 94-80 in the first round.

Senior guard Jerry Price has been one of the reasons for this winning streak. He has scored double digits in all six games.

This is his first season playing in the NJAC and he has not disappointed.

“It’s amazing,” Price said. “I never got to play in this conference before so this is a first time experience and I’m blessed.”

He has most certainly blessed the team this season becoming a leader and being vocal on the court. When he plays, he takes control and plays at a fast pace. He averages 25 minutes and 14 PPG.

“I learned how to talk and communicate with my teammates this season,” Price said. “We have great coaches that taught me to keep my head straight and pay attention to detail.”

Price has scored 20 plus points in both games against Stockon this season. Rowan is going to need that kind of performance from him if they want to move on to the NJAC Championship game.

No matter how far Rowan makes it in the NJAC Championship Tournament, Price is proud to be a Prof.

“This season has been memorable and incredible,” Price said. “We have great coaches that taught me to keep my head straight and pay more attention to detail.”

The Profs will play the number two seed Stockton University on the road this Wednesday.
