Your dorm room just got streaming…for free.
In an age where streaming services have become increasingly prevalent, a new addition to thelandscape has emerged on the Rowan campus. Apogee’s Stream2 is now being offered to all on-campus Rowan students for no additional cost and includes premium channels, such as AMC and the platform Max, formally known as HBO Max.
Andrew Tinnin is the associate vice president for student life at Rowan.
“Apogee’s Stream2 is a great service for live TV and DVR that can be used from residence halls to the classroom,” said Tinnin.
According to the Rowan University website, under the Residential Learning and University Housing tab, it informs students that “You can stream Stream2 on your computer or mobile device, or access itvia legacy coaxial cable connections in certain residence halls.”
The following residential areas are equipped with an active coaxial cable wall connection: Holly Pointe Commons, Edgewood Park Apartments, Rowan Boulevard Apartments, the townhouses, and the Whitney Center.
“All other buildings, not including Nexus Apartments, would utilize the Apogee Stream2 service, orconnect other devices to the Rowan Network to utilize personal streaming subscriptions,” according to Rowan’s website.
Stream2 is also easily downloadable through the Apple and Android app stores and is alreadyavailable for on-campus Profs who are interested.
