Country chic is, in fact, a blend of the classic country with that modern twist, from the earthy patterned plaids to the classic staple brown boots. Senior Alyssa Rodriguez feels high boots are a great essential for this fall and is excited for fall because of all the Halloween costumes. Leaving the summer and transitioning to autumn trends.
“High boots give major fall vibes, and since Halloween is in the fall, you have all the different types of costumes you can wear, which makes it even better,” said Rodriguez.
While junior Billy Hagerty feels that country chic is a fusion of old money with brands like Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic, with a country touch.
“I feel that country chic is definitely a nice aesthetic for this fall and a cool throwback,” said Hagerty.
Within country chic, you can still give it that fall statement and pop of color by adding red to give your outfit that refined touch within the look. Sportswear trends this fall include nostalgia meets a futuristic feel, as Hibbett.com brings out the key focus, which becomes subtle yet still has that futuristic touch, including chunky sneakers and sporty elements.
While hoodies are a fall staple, the Printful blog gives specifics on hoodies that will turn heads, from graphic prints to the classic vintage hoodies. You can’t go wrong with a hoodie this fall. Junior Uchenna Obasi feels that versatility is crucial in fashion, and it’s all about how you want to piece it together.
“While cargos are definitely versatile, I have to say I am excited for the graphics this season. I feel like they are a form of self-expression and the style of your interest,” said Obasi.
In addition to these key fall trends, earth tones dominate this season, from olive green to burnt orange, closely reflecting the changing season and complementing country chic. Wool hats, leather gloves, and scarves are known to enhance this rustic style. The ’90s elegance brings a nostalgic twist to fall fashion, featuring oversized blazers and slip dresses worn with boots. Sophomore Kayla Clifton feels like country chic is a perfect mix of aesthetics, considering the practicality.
“Country chic is the perfect go-to for going out or even grabbing a cup of coffee. Boots have to be my go-to, especially Ugg boots. Uggs work as a great shoe for classes or just everyday wear,” Clifton said.
