Welcome to Profs Pick ‘Em! Here, members of The Whit decide their winners of every game (besides Thursday Night Football) of the week, as well as adding their sleeper pick. Enjoy, criticize and let us know how many times you can tally Jon Gruden using the phrases, “This guy right here,” or, “I want to see this guy…” Happy football!

Campana’s sleeper: Carolina Panthers (Campana is 43-16 on the year)

Despite his comments towards the media, it’s not hard to forget what Cam Newton was able to pull off last week. He beat the Pats in Foxborough. Although they have been impressive to start, I’m not fully sold on the Lions. Their defense has been hot, but their offense hasn’t been stellar. This is a Carolina team that has the potential to put points on the board fast.

Devine’s sleeper: Los Angeles Chargers (Devine is 38-21 on the year)

The meeting between two 0-4 teams means someone has to win (unless they tie). The Chargers nearly beat the Eagles last week and the Giants lost for a second-straight week on a walk-off FG. Until the Giants show me that they can close out games, I’m going against them.

Leady’s sleeper: Cincinnati Bengals (Leady is 34-25 on the year)

The Bengals are off to a tough start. But, the Bills haven’t shown me anything worth while yet. I think Andy Dalton will bounce back this week and throw for over 300 yards and lead his team to victory.

Decker’s sleeper: Chicago Bears (Decker is 32-27 on the year)

Mitchell Trubisky in his first start picks up a win at home. The question of Sam Bradford playing or not playing and the absence of Dalvin Cook causes concern for the Vikings and it hurts them in the end.

Drame’s sleeper: Houston Texans (Drame is 33-26 on the year)

Deshaun Watson appears to have arrived! The Chiefs are good. They may very well represent the AFC come February. However, with Watson coming along smoothly thus far and a Watt/Clowney defense coming along too, the Texans continue to roll.

Kass’ sleeper: Jacksonville Jaguars (Kass is 35-24 on the year)

My sleeper this week is the Jaguars. Pittsburgh has a history of playing down to its competition. Even if Jacksonville loses it won’t be by a blowout.

Layton’s sleeper: Houston Texans (Layton is 35-24 on the year)

Deshaun Watson will continue to be dominant as a rookie to lead Texans past the Chiefs.
