Shaving with a typical razor can be a tedious task. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve attempted to shave, and with one wrong move, literally slaughtered my skin. It happens mainly on my legs, but there have been times that I have accidentally cut my underarms and bikini area for lack of a firm, sturdy grip.
Worse still are the unattractive and painful, itchy razor bumps that tend to pop up when I’m done.
I decided I needed a better razor with a thicker handle than the standard plastic ones that could sashay a bit smoother around the curvature of my body.
I was near Target, and decided to explore their razor aisle. As I made my way toward it, the display in the front of the aisle had an advertisement for the Schick Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care Razor, priced at $9.99. I was instantly attracted to how thick the handle of the razor was.
The razor came with two “moisturizing ribbons” surrounding the blades, designed to restore moisture for sensitive skin. This serves as the lather during shaving, as opposed to needing a separate shaving cream or gel. Each package also comes equipped with two, four-blade pivoting head cartridges, a cover for the top of the razor and a plastic suction holder for the shower.
I was able to hold the handle with a firm grip and shave without a single cut, so far. I absolutely loved how the moisturizer in the lather left my skin feeling softer and smoother after each shave.
The only drawback that I experienced is that each of the moisturizing ribbons lasted only a few days, forcing you to either use shaving gel or buy more refill cartridges for the razor, that can cost upward of $13.99 for a set of three.
Overall, I do recommend this product for its durability and overall use. Just know that this can be costly depending on how often you shave, which can be a disadvantage to being a true diva on a budget.
