Although the NBA season started two weeks ago, we have tons of new information that could help improve your fantasy team.
With the injuries to CJ McCollum and Jamal Murray, their backups should see an increase in value. There is also the emergence of a stat sheet stuffer in Utah.
Reggie Jackson
ESPN roster percentage – 4% / Yahoo roster percentage – 12%
With the news that Jamal Murray will more than likely miss the rest of November, Reggie Jackson is officially a must-acquire player. Reggie Jackson got the start against Golden State, playing 32 minutes and totaling 20 points, six assists, and made three three-pointers. The most important stat is field goals attempted. Reggie shot the ball 17 times. With that volume, he is likely to break out and score multiple 30-point games. Get Reggie while you still can.
Jordan Hawkins
ESPN Roster percentage – 7% / Yahoo Roster percentage – 47%
With the unfortunate news that CJ McCollum has suffered a ‘small pneumothorax’ in his right lung, Jordan Hawkins should be a must-acquire player. Jordan saw the start in CJ McCollum’s absence and erupted for 31 points. Jordan made seven three-pointers and added seven rebounds to the stat sheet. Acquiring a player who can score like that will certainly help win you games and hopefully keep you afloat until CJ returns.
Talen Horton Tucker
ESPN roster percentage – 13% / Yahoo Roster percentage – 35%
Talen Horton Tucker is falling under the radar in the majority of fantasy leagues. Although he hasn’t been the most efficient scorer, Talen has been able to contribute in other ways. In November, Talen is averaging 10.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Talen brings you a chance at a double-double on any given night, and once his jump shot starts falling he will be a desired player in every league.
