In the early morning hours of Sept. 24, Glassboro police were alerted to the presence of an unconscious male lying in front of the 7-Eleven on Rowan Boulevard.
When they arrived on the scene after the 12:11 a.m. call, the man was still on the ground but was found to be breathing, and responding officers rendered aid.
After consulting witnesses in the area where the man had been found, officers used Rowan University security camera footage to locate and identify the four suspects, who are alleged to have assaulted the man.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
All four suspects were identified by the Glassboro Police Department as Trevon Grisby, Terrance Lovett Jr, Ladarious Drew, and Timothy Timmons. They were placed under arrest after being found near the scene of the crime and were subsequently found to have some of the victim’s property on their persons.
Upon this discovery, along with other early investigation findings, the suspects were charged with robbery, aggravated assault, distribution of more than one ounce of cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.
The four suspects, who are not Glassboro residents, have been logged in the Salem County Jail.
This information was released hours after the alleged attack in a statement released on the Glassboro Police Department’s Facebook page.
“We would like to thank the witnesses who chose to help, saw something, and said something, this helped provide the medical care the victim needed as well as bringing a quick and safe resolution to the incident while protecting other members of the community from potential future acts of violence,” said the department’s post.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the department’s Facebook page reminds readers that all named suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
