After a wild Week 9 in the NFL, “Shop or Drop with Rob” is back, giving you advice on who to pick up and drop every week in your fantasy football league.
Waiver Wire additions
Mecole Hardman – WR – Kansas City Kansas – 48% rostered via Yahoo! Sports
Mecole Hardman has found himself a nice role in this Kansas City offense. The speedster caught six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in the overtime win against Tennessee Titans on Sunday night.
In Week 7, before their bye, Hardman had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. As long as the fourth-year receiver can keep finding the endzone, he will be a nice flex option moving forward.
Jeff Wilson Jr. – RB – Miami Dolphins – 51% rostered via Yahoo! Sports
After being dealt from the San Francisco 49ers before the trade deadline on Tuesday, Jeff Wilson had himself a nice debut against Chicago. In the road win, Wilson rushed for 51 yards and caught a touchdown pass. Although he did not lead the team in carries, the young back was much more productive than his counterpart Raheem Mostert.
Cole Kmet – TE – Chicago Bears – 23% rostered via Yahoo! Sports
Cole Kmet is heating up, as he has caught three touchdowns in the past two weeks. Against Miami, the 6’ 6” big man caught a season-high five passes for 42 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. The Bears offense has been producing a ton of points lately, boding well for Kmet’s involvement in this system.
Garret Wilson – WR – New York Jets – 62% rostered via Yahoo! Sports
Garret Wilson has been on fire these past two weeks, as the rookie receiver hauled in 14 passes for 207 yards against the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. After shocking the league by taking down the Bills last Sunday, the Jets have a real shot to make a playoff push for the first time in a while. In order to do so, Garret Wilson must stay involved in this Jet’s offense.
Darnell Mooney – WR – Chicago Bears – 61% rostered via Yahoo! Sports
Darnell Mooney was looking like a fantasy bust early on this season. But the Bears offense has caught fire recently, as Mooney hauled in seven catches for 43 yards and a touchdown in the high-scoring affair against Miami this past Sunday. The addition of wide receiver Chase Claypool may also free up some coverage for Mooney moving forward.
Players to drop
Drake London – WR – Atlanta Falcons
Drake London started off hot, but the rookie receiver hasn’t scored over ten fantasy points since Week 3. Marcus Mariota is not an efficient passing quarterback, meaning London will not see much involvement in this offense.
Hunter Renfrow – WR – Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders offense has been quite underwhelming this year despite having a surplus of weapons. Hunter Renfrow has not surpassed ten fantasy points this whole season and has yet to score a touchdown. With Darren Waller expected back next week, Renfrow’s targets are not going to increase anytime soon.
Brandon Cooks – WR – Houston Texans
Brandon Cooks demanded a trade before Tuesday’s deadline, but was never granted one. The disgruntled veteran receiver only has one touchdown on the year. With a weak offensive line and Davis Mills behind center, things are not looking good for Cooks.
If you see some of these guys on your waiver wire, try and scoop them up. Although some players may not have a spot on your starting roster at the moment, injuries are bound to happen. When everyone else in your league is scrambling around looking for replacements, you’ll remember that you read “Shop or Drop with Rob”, and reinforcements are already sitting on your bench.
