On Nov. 11 the South Asian Student Association worked in collaboration with other Rowan organizations to host their annual Diwali event. Diwali is the festival of lights in Hindu, Jain, and Sikh culture. Students celebrated this event by painting diyas, eating Indian cuisine, and performing cultural dances.
“This is a really big and exciting thing for our club that we do every single year. It's a great way to get everyone together, and specifically everyone that celebrates a certain holiday, even if they don't get to celebrate at home. This is a perfect opportunity for everyone to get together and celebrate with friends along with food,” said Puja Brahmbhatt (left), president of the South Asian Student Association (SASA). - Features Editor / Paige Britt
