Week six of the NFL season saw every team in action this week, with just one team coming out with a win.
Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles were the lone victors in the NFC East this week. After a week 5 bye, the Eagles came out and beat the Cleveland Browns by a score of 20-16. DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown returned to action and combined for nine receptions, 180 yards, and two touchdowns. Despite the Eagles’ win against the Cleveland Browns, head coach Nick Sirianni continues to be a problem for the Eagles. His post-game press conference stirred up the media and he was caught chirping Eagles fans after the victory.
Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys were blown out by a tough Detroit Lions team 47-9. Dak Prescott put up yet another dismal performance. Dak signed a four-year, $240 million contract early in September and has now gone two straight games with two interceptions. Cowboys’ kicker, Brandon Aubrey scored all nine of Dallas’s points with three field goals, the longest being 50 yards.
Washington Commanders: The Commanders lost a hard-fought battle 30-23 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Commanders were unable to contain Derrick Henry who rushed for 132 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns. They were also unable to stop Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers who had nine receptions for 132 yards. On the bright side, Jayden Daniels continues to look solid through week six, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
New York Giants: The Giants lost their fourth game of the season against the Cincinatti Bengals 17-7. Giants’ rookie sensation Malik Nabers misses his second game in a row with a head injury. The Giants saw a ton of offensive volume as Daniel Jones attempted 41 passes and added 11 carries. Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. handled 17 carries for 50 yards and the lone touchdown.
Outlook: The Commanders remain the number one team in the NFC East as far as standings through week six. The Eagles slide their way into the number two spot with their win this week, while the Cowboys fall to third in the division. The Giants remain at the bottom of the division. If the Eagles can figure out their head coach problems they seem to be on the rise for the top spot in the NFC East.
