In a Rowan Announcer submission sent to students today, Lindsey James, the Residential Learning and University Housing (RLUH) housing assignments coordinator announced that applications have opened for on-campus housing for the 2018-2019 school year. As part of the announcement, James said that applications are open until Sunday, February 11 at 11:59 p.m.
In order to register for housing, students must log in to their self-service accounts. After that, students should click on the student tab, then the MyHousing tab. From the MyHousing page, applicants need to click on apply online, and from the drop-down menu on the screen, select the option labeled “Fall 2018 – Spring 2019 Housing Application.”
For students who are registered for a disability-related housing accommodation or will be registering with the Academic Success Center and Disability Resources Office, paperwork is due no later than February 12th. The email said that failure to meet the deadline might limit the ability of the University to reserve housing space meeting their needs. For students with questions about the process, the email said to contact the Rowan Success Center by email at successcenter@rowan.edu or by phone at (856) 256-4259.
The email also went on to say that if a student has fewer than 58 credits and plans to commute next year, they are required to file for commuter status by February 12th.
To file for commuter status, students can go to www.rowan.edu/rluh and submit their notarized Statement of Student Residence form to RLUH. The form must be signed by a parent and notarized. Registration holds will be placed on students who do not file for commuter status or apply for university housing by Feb. 12. According to the email, those holds will prevent enrollment in fall classes.
For any questions about housing, students are urged to contact the RLUH office by email at housingquestions@rowan.edu.
