The 1997 Rowan University’s Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program has been named Best Online Doctor of Education program for 2025 by The Princeton Review. This program offers students to gain a higher education and learn about leadership and change.
“It has evolved to meet the needs of educators in our state and our country. It has been a cutting edge of online offerings and so we have always been a leader in that area and we are very proud of that,” said Joanne Connor, senior associate dean for external affairs.
The degree that is being offered for the ED.d program is for working professionals and Rowan University College of Education does the hard work to make it durable and affordable for these students.
With this recognition, the program hopes to gain more students and grow as a whole for the Rowan University College of Education. The ED.d program works closely with other educational institutions to help shape content for the courses that are being offered. The program is achieved by educating students to comprehend and evaluate professional literature and research.
“The program is visionary and the faculty are tremendous. They are tremendous researchers and scholars and I think that really strengthens the program and creates a high-quality program,” said Connor.
The program is now hopeful to acquire more student leaders and make the program grow as the years go on.
“It is always a good thing that our program at the University is recognized at the national level,” said Connor.
