Since opening their doors in 2023, Cream has quickly become more than just another cafe in Glassboro. Located at 211 High Street W near the Rowan Art Gallery, Cream has grown into a reliable hub for students and local professionals. Whether it’s for a place to study between classes, a meeting spot for business conversations, or a convenient spot for coffee and food, Cream has carved out a steady presence in the Rowan University community. Many Rowan students say there are specific reasons they continue to choose Cream as their go-to destination.
Caitlyn Cavallaro, a junior psychology major, says she goes to Cream because of the quiet environment. Cavallaro also comes to Cream to work with her friends and order her signature drink.
“My favorite special drink is the Banana Latte,” said Cavallaro.
Juliette Chott, a senior exercise science major, says she likes Cream because of how friendly the people are at the coffee shop and because of her love for the food and drink options.
“My favorite item to order is anything with matcha in it,” said Chott.
Matt Owens, a senior art education major, says his favorite menu item from Cream is the bagels. Matt enjoys the variety of flavor options that Cream has for classic Jersey bagels.
“My favorite bagel to get is the Asiago bagel because it has cheese on it. The bagel I usually get consists of turkey sausage, egg, and cheese,” said Owens.
Jonah Phillips, a sophomore music education major, says he goes to Cream to get a quick bite to eat and complete his school work. He enjoys ordering the lunch menu options from the establishment.
“My favorite item to get at Cream is the buffalo chicken wrap because it has very good flavors,” said Phillips.
Emily Alberta, a sophomore paralegal major, likes Cream for the environment and the drinks.
“My favorite drink I usually like to order is the vanilla latte since it’s my go-to drink,” said Alberta.
Sebastian Correa, a senior biological sciences major, says he has been going to Cream since attending Rowan. He specifically is a customer of Cream because of his love for the various drinks they sell. Cream offers dirty sodas, flavored energy drinks, matcha, and more.
“My favorite drink to order is the Sunrise because it has Red Bull in it, but doesn’t taste like Red Bull,” said Correa.
Annalise McCalister, a graduate student in theatre education, finds Cream to be a unique study spot. McAlister points out how the atmosphere is relaxed and has been at Cream since it opened.
“My favorite thing to order at Cream is usually an iced tea with combinations. I like having a variety of iced teas and different syrups available,” said McCalister.
Aliyah El-Muhammad, a senior journalism major, says she mainly goes to Cream since it’s close to most of the journalism classes and the food and drinks are very good.
“I usually like to order a chai latte because I don’t like coffee too much, so it’s a good alternative,” said El-Muhammad.
As its popularity continues to grow, the future looks bright for Rowan cream and the community it is looking to build.
