After eight years in Glassboro and three years as the head men’s basketball coach at Rowan, Eric Brennan is moving on. Brennan accepted the position of assistant men’s basketball coach at the Air Force Academy, according to Director of Athletics Shawn Tucker.
“This place has truly shaped my life. The relationships, the growth, and the memories we created together will stay with me forever,” Brennan said in a statement. “While this chapter closes, I’m excited for what lies ahead. I will carry the lessons I learned at Rowan with me on the rest of my journey. Thank you to everyone who was part of it. This will always feel like home.”
The move reunites Brennan with Joe Crispin, who spent seven years as Rowan’s head coach from 2016 to 2023. Crispin was announced as the head coach of the Air Force Academy on March 18. Prior to coaching at Air Force, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Penn State.
“I am excited to welcome Eric Brennan to the Academy,” Crispin said in a statement. “We have had the pleasure of building one program together and are looking forward to doing so again. He understands our vision and will help us gather and train a great group of young men to fly, fight, and win.”
Brennan put together a 43-39 record across his three seasons at the helm of the program, including the 2023-24 season he spent as interim head coach following Crispin’s departure from Rowan.
In the 2025-26 season, Brennan’s Profs started 0-8 and put together a comeback effort to qualify for the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) tournament. They defeated NJCU in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal round, where they lost on the road at Montclair State.
A national search for the Profs’ new coach will begin immediately, and the position is expected to be posted by April 13.
