One of the most important aspects of college is studying. Students often spend hours completing homework assignments or studying for upcoming exams, which makes finding a study spot super essential. This is especially true at Rowan University, where many students are finding alternative study spots. With the Campbell Library expected to open in fall 2026 at the earliest, Rowan students have had to rely on other campus locations to complete their academic work.
Krisha Joshiu, a freshman computer science major, says that his favorite study spot is the Chamberlain Student Center Expansion because of the environment.
“The expansion is the perfect amount of quietness for studying, but you can also have a good conversation,” said Joshiu.
Richie Foors, a freshman sports communication and media major, says that Saxbys is his favorite student spot since it’s quiet and has food.
“My favorite to get at Saxbys while studying is coffee because it’s simple and easy to get,” said Foors.
Damon Christo, a sophomore chemistry major, says that the student center is his favorite study spot on campus because it’s quiet and is close to the marketplace.
“The student center is close to the Marketplace, where I can pick up food, and it’s the closest to the science building and my labs,” says Christo.
Pamela Ponna, a junior psychology major, also says that the student center is her favorite since it’s close to all her classes.
“Most of my classes are in James and Robinson Hall, so the student center is a convenient place to go to study in between classes,” said Ponna.
Kayla Cintroa, a junior psychology major, says her room in her apartment is her favorite place to study.
“My room in 114 Victoria is my favorite spot to study since it’s very quiet and helps me lock in,” said Cintroa.
Isabella Interiano, a sophomore nursing major, says that Saxbys is her favorite study spot on campus since other students are studying as well.
“I see other students studying at Saxby’s, which helps me lock in and also has easy access to many great drinks,” said Interiano.
Whether students prefer one study spot or another, there’s one thing that makes it clear: Rowan students take their study spots super seriously.
