Rowan University students know the struggle of a late-night craving hitting when the main dining halls, The Chamberlain Student Center, and Holly Point Commons are closed. While these spots are reliable for daytime meals, where do students turn when hunger strikes after hours? The late-night food scene relies heavily on off-campus options, but which establishments truly dominate as the most popular choices for a hungry student body?
Quinn Sehloendoran, a freshman biology major, says that Chickie and Pete’s is his favorite late-night spot because he likes their trivia nights.
“My favorite food to get at Chickie’s and Pete’s is the onion rings because of the sauce that comes with them. The oning ring is not too big or too small,” said Sehloendoran.
Chris Tedisco, a sophomore electrical and computer engineering major, chooses Chickie’s and Pete’s as his favorite late-night spot to go off campus.
“I like to go to Chickie and Pete’s because it’s an easy spot to take a lot of people and the food is also very good,” said Tedisco.
Eddie Eduardo, a junior construction major, picks Crown Fried as his favorite late-night spot to get food off campus.
“I like to go to Crown Fried because it has a lot of options. I usually get the gyro because it tastes good,” said Eduardo.
Steven Fasolo, a junior finance major, says that Landmark is his favorite late-night spot off campus.
“I like to go to Landmark because you get to meet new people, and it has a good vibe. If you’re 21 years old, you can get alcohol at Landmark,” said Fasolo.
Jack O’Neill, a junior radio, television, and film major, likes to go out to YOGO Factory for his favorite late-night snack.
“I like to go to the YOGO Factory because it’s not too expensive, close to campus, and I like the strawberry and cake batter combination,” said O’Neill.
Rufus Caputo, a freshman civil engineering major, says that 7/11 is his go-to late-night spot to get food around Rowan.
“I like to go to 7/11 because I can walk in and get whatever I can get. 7/11 is still open to late hours. It has a good variety of food, and it accepts Rowan Bucks,” said Caputo.
Leo Davis, a freshman environmental science major, goes to Antonio’s Pizzeria in Williamstown when he has a late-night craving.
“I like to go to Antonio’s because the pizza is good. My favorite pizza to get at Antonio’s is the mushroom pizza because the special buffalo sauce is good,” said Davis.
Mia Ramsburg, a freshman elementary education student, picks Raising Cane’s as her favorite late-night spot.
“I like to go to Raising Cane’s because chicken is my favorite food. At Raising Cane’s, I like to get the three-finger combo because it tastes good,” said Ramsburg.
Whether students prefer getting food late at night on the boulevard or off campus, one thing remains clear: Rowan students take their late-night food spots very seriously, and for good reason. These spots aren’t just for quick bites; they’re integral to the college experience, fueling late-night study sessions, post-game celebrations, and crucial social moments.
